Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units, and include Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organisation & Digital, Risk and Tax departments.

Your role

 

The role of the function is to provide legal support to the Pictet Asset Services, Pictet Trading & Sales and Banking Operations’ divisions by assisting them in the fields of custody, asset services, banking operations, trading and relationships with external asset managers.

 

  • Serve as direct contact of front teams.
  • Draft, review, and amend the legal documentation governing the relationship between the Bank and its clients in various matters, mainly custody, banking operations or trading.
  • Give legal analyses and advice on the various roles and responsibilities of the Bank in its daily work in relation to new or existing services.
  • Carry out regulatory oversight and analysis of new laws and regulations to manage the impact on the Bank and contribute to their implementation within the Bank.
  • Collaborate/coordinate with other members of the legal function in Luxembourg and abroad, and with other support functions (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Tax and Internal Audit). Work with external legal advisors, where required.

Your profile

 

Qualifications and experience:

 

  • Master’s degree in Law.
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience within a Bank, Asset Manager, Law Firm or Family Office.

 


Specific knowledge:

 

  • Excellent knowledge of the European financial industry and its regulatory and financial framework, as well as of the stakeholders and processes involved in asset servicing, trading and banking operations activities.
  • Expert knowledge of the regulatory provisions applicable to credit institutions (e.g. MIFID, MIFIR, EMIR, ESG, Cross boarder etc.).

 

Language skills:

 

  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Good understanding of German.
